Hi, friend.
Originally, I wanted this to be a Thursday dispatch. But I keep forgetting. You know, life with growing baby. And sometimes, with all that I want to share, I end up not being able to sit down and share my thoughts at all.
So I hope it’s okay if I pop in your inbox any day of the week. ♡
A piece of encouragement:
An affirmation you can steal:
“I can do hard things.”
A verse you can ponder on:
He fills my life with good things.
My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!
Psalm 103:5 NLT
A note from the dining table:
I have this weird habit wherein I always seem to end up ordering food that I don’t like. Lo and behold, when my food order arrives, I realize too late that I actually wanted to try the steak, not the lonely pork cutlets and scrambled eggs in umami sauce. (FYI, it wasn’t umami at all.) I guess it comes from getting carried away by the idea of always wanting to try something new. Has that ever happened to you? I swear, it happens to me almost every time we eat out. Now, I take it as life’s way of teaching me to be more conscious of what I don’t want so I won’t miss out on getting things that I actually want.
What am I getting at, writing this? I’m not so sure myself. There’s nothing wrong with trying something new. In fact, every once in a while, it’s nice to try new things! But I hope you get to choose whatever you believe and know is right for you—be it ordering food, taking a job opportunity, entering a relationship, or even as simple as watching a TV series. I know the bad is inevitable, but I hope you’ll find it in your heart to always see the good in things. . . as I tried my best to find the good in my umami scrambled eggs that day. Or better yet, do your best to choose wisely.
My husband recently had a minor surgery done on his wrist. Though he’s recovering well, he is still not allowed to carry heavy weights—our baby included—at all. He’s also traveling for work next week, so this momma’s hands are definitely going to be full. But I’ll see you in the next! ♡
Love and light always,
Dominique
